Anchors
Bought these to anchor down tarp over top of my shelter to give it more protection they have been holding tarp over shelter for over a year now. I also have used these same anchors on my shelter itself, and to hold down my deer feeder support ropes, they work very well!

Great Anchors
Great anchors. Wanted something that would anchor deeper in the ground and these did the trick.

Easy Installation
I had no issues putting these into the ground. To test the anchoring locations for rocks/roots and aid in installation, I first hammered a piece of 5/8" steel rebar which created a pilot hole. After removing the rebar, I used a crowbar for leverage to turn the anchors into some pretty hard soil. I could see how it might be a problem for some people, but I managed it and broke a decent sweat in the process! I didn't have any issues with the quality of the welds, either. I would recommend this product, but if the ground is hard you have to have some ingenuity and also be willing to work for it. Soak the ground with water well in advance of installation if you have to. I should have done that because it took me about an hour to install all four. I'm not deducting a star for the missing cable and cable clamp (only received 3 out of 4 of each) because the performance of the product was as expected. The packaging was heavily damaged and taped on one end, so it's likely it either fell out or was "borrowed" to complete another anchoring kit. I spent a few more bucks to get what I needed elsewhere rather than return the entire package for a single clamp and 12" of cable. I needed my shed inspected worse than I needed to wait a few more weeks to get what I needed.

Hard to install
Very difficult to get installed to full depth. Takes many turns with downward pressure and didn't bite into soil well. Especially hard to drive if installing next to a post
We finally ended up making a driver tool for a heavy duty drill, but could only get halfway on most anchors before the drill stalled out.

Nt Strong enough anchors to hold this in place.
My first greenhouse of this model took flight 2 1/2 years ago, after two seasons. I even put the stronge anchors w/ the rebar in addition to these anchors, and it took flight in astrong, windy storm. I am now in the process of putting up a second green house in a new area, and will double anchor it also. I have bought more anchors, so it will probably be triple anchored along the side; then sand bags on top to fully secure it. It is in a more protected area w/ trees on two sides. The new instructions are not as in depth as the previous ones.

Questions & Answers
I live in an area with hard pack dirt and a lot of rock. Is there an alternate anchoring system that would work better in my area?
Hi Aimee,
We would suggest using the Easy Hook Anchors.

What is the wind rating for these anchors?
Hello,
Wind rating depends on a variety of factors. These auger anchors alone are not wind rated. Please give us a call to discuss this further at 1-800-932-9344.
Thank you

Hi, I'm interested using the 30" auger earth anchors and would like to know the pin loop measurements as I may have something fabricated for them. Specifically what is the outer diameter and thickness. Thanks.
Hello Lindsey,
The outer diameter is about 1.625”, and the shaft diameter is 0.4375”. If you are going to make a socket fit over the anchor please ensure that is it used manually. The added torque of using an impact driver or something similar can cause the auger to fail.
Thank you

My ground is glacial sand with small rocks.....will these anchors go into this type of ground? I’ve had trouble with 12 “ tent pegs, but I’m wondering if the ‘screw’ mechanism would work to push rocks away.
Hello, If you have had trouble with a 12" tent peg its possible you would have trouble with these also however the screw mechanism should help to turn the anchor down easier. Thank you
